We were really hoping the Rx food we started on 6/19/11 would break up the bladder stone Sugar had, but no such luck. While we knew it could take at least a month to work (if it was going to), in the last few days Sugar started to have more intense symptoms. We decided to go ahead and get her in for surgery.
We live just outside Atlanta and all of the pack has a great Vet here, but we decided to bring the Who back to her original Vet in SC who she had been seeing since she was 7 weeks old. He is absolutely fantastic and we trust him more than any other Vet we have met in our many years of pet-babies. For anyone out there who may be in the SC area, it is Dr. Ross at Foxnest. Foxnest even operates a no-kill shelter from their facility!
We brought Butter with Sugar to my moms house in SC so he would be around her for comfort- they are pretty dependent on each other.
Dr. Ross will call us tonight to let us know how Sugar did, so please send all the positive vibes you can 'cause even though Sugar is tough stuff , she is only 9lbs of Who-trouble.
