Snooter Attack!!!

So things got wild here this weekend....Uncle Fred was snake-bit on his snooter!!!

This is an old pic 'cause Fred is scared of the camera and the momma didn't wanna stress him out
So The Freddy came to the front door for some inside times, and the momma thought on side of his extra-long snooter looked puffy. She thought there was some kind of mark on that side too. When she kept trying to look Uncle Freddy decided he was ready to go back outside. So the momma brought him one of his snackums. Thats when she KNEW something was wrong.....Freddy couldn't even take his snackum!!! So she rushed him over to the snoot-doctor (aka the v-e-t). The snoot-doc said right away it was a snake bite! He thinks it was a copper-head. He said the Freddy was in no respiratory distress and gave him a shot for his swollen snooter ( he didn't shoot him in his snooter though...just in his scruff).

So now we has to be on snake look-out. I think the whole thing is just more evidences that we lives in the JUNGLE!!!

Sugar the Who

***Note about Fred:: When I took Fred to the Vet Saturday they felt he was doing great with no issues other than the swelling. In fact the vet gave him a shot and said he should be able to eat in about a hour.....we made it home in 15 minutes and he was more than ready to eat by then. Fred went back today and got a clean bill of health. Unfortunately they think the bite mark may get worse before it goes away. Fred is not vain though as he was back to his nightly routine of barking at toads and attempting to 'carry' them away (he doesn't bite them, honestly just carries them) despite their gruesome taste. I guess he figures at his age a scar just gives him character).......Cande-

Oh dear, we just might have to send Thunder Dunder the Snake catcher over to secure the perimeter. Poor Fred - we hope the worst is over and that snake bite causes no more issues.
