A Boxer Ostracized....

Today my brother the moose Hannibal went to his 2nd doggie daycare in less than a week. The momma thought for sure it would be smooth moose-sailing. HA!!! How wrong she was.

Everything started out great (it always does). The moose loves collars. The momma says this is because his 1st peoples took off his collar and put him out on the street and now he thinks the more collars he has the more claimed he is. So the momma told him to close his eyes for a surprise...

When he opened them he had a whole new collar to jingle and make lots of noise. So off went the momma and the moose to daycare.

When the momma brought him in Camp Bow Wow for his interview, the interview guy said Hannibal did great (obviously he held in his noxious fumes until later)! He moose loved all the people and even got along with all the dogs.........all the dogs who were already there that is. The momma had made it about 15 miles down the road when the daddy called and said Camp Bow Wow said 'come get your moose'.

When the momma went in to pick Hannibal up, all the people working there gave him hugs and kisses and said he was sweet (they must not have smelled him). Apparently when they brought in 2 new dogs Hannibal attempted to, ummm, 'get fresh' with one while demon-growling and then pinned down the other. So everyone has decided that there is no more daycare for a moose until he learns dogs can come in after he does OR until daycares with regular 2 legged kids will let him stay. That would be his most favorite!

Until then, Hannibal is on the deck, sleeping of his bad behavior...

Oh my. He got a gift of extra collars and then still went a little bonkers? Poor doggie. He must not know any better yet, but I am sure he will get it all figured out.

AwHannibal. I hope he learns to play well with others. I feel like he would have such a great time.

Must be a male moose boxer thing... Calhoun acts "afool" sometimes as well. I personally enjoy the wild eyed look that accompanies such foolishness!

That's too bad. It's a shame they could not help him.
